Standing with science for health equity

07 Apr

On World Health Day, this year’s theme “Together for health – Stand with science” highlights the importance of science-based public health action and equitable access to prevention. Across Europe, people living in prison often face significant barriers to accessing vaccination, screening and other preventive services. Addressing these gaps is essential for reducing health inequalities and strengthening public health systems. The PACE project contributes to these efforts by supporting improved access to evidence-based cancer-preventing services in prison settings, with a focus on infections linked to HPV and viral hepatitis. By translating scientific evidence into public health action, PACE contributes to strengthening prevention and promoting health equity in prison settings.
