On World Hepatitis Day, PACE stands alongside its sister initiative, JA SHIELD, in highlighting the importance of hepatitis prevention as a key step towards reducing infection-related cancers across Europe.
For PACE, ensuring equitable access to hepatitis prevention for people living in prison is central to reducing health inequalities and strengthening public health.
Preliminary findings from the PACE Gap Analysis highlight the need to strengthen hepatitis vaccination, screening and continuity of care during detention and after release through approaches adapted to different national contexts.
